Willis Russell Gibson

Willis Russell Gibson  (February 25, 1921 – January 28, 2016)

Willis Russell Gibson was an inspiration to all Smilemakers. For years, Toys for God’s Kids trucked supplies to his home and picked up completed goods. While living in Colorado at Heather Garden, he single-handedly drilled wheels for all our cars. The other Smilemakers had trouble keeping up with his wheel production. Russ and his daughters also assembled cars in his home workshop.

Russ’s tireless efforts brought joy to thousands and thousands of kids. He will be greatly missed.

TFGK’s received this thank you from Colin Gesink: “Over 600 cars from Denver, Colorado were given to children of King Solomon’s Junior School outside of Kampala, Uganda.  Eight Calvin College students traveled to Uganda during the month of January to work with Starfish Ministries and a local Ugandan Pastor.  Thank you for allowing us to share smiles with children across the globe.”
